My Boys of Summer:
These are my boys of summer. Robbie was out in the back yard cutting the lawn. As usual where ever Robbie is so must Rocco. The fence line was walked as always by Rocco. Making sure that nothing has come into his yard. Walking around the freshly cut yard tends to make on slightly green. Take a gander at his feet. His face and foo man choo was green as well.

HEY LIZZZARD LIZZZZARD:
Hey lizzzard lizzzzard!!! YEAH NOT going to happen Robbie. We were down at the Electric Crayon Tattoo shop visiting the gang. They have had lots of tropical fish but they kept killing them. After spend too much money on them they have changed over to Gracie's pets. They now have some creapy type of lizards there. She let Robbie hold one of them. Now he wants one. Yeah not going to happen in this house. Here are a few photos of Robbie and what he thinks are his new friends to come home to live.

Maple Flag 40 Open House:
This weekend is the 40th open house for Maple Flag. Darla and Colin arrived here on Friday night. After a night out on the town. We went to the open house on Saturday morning. These are a few photos from what we saw at the open house. This was Robbie and my first open house as well. After 6 years of being here, we took it in finally. It was quite fun with a pancake breakfast to start the morning off.

this is a photo of the Lake. We did the tourist thing around town for Darla and Colin to see Cold Lake.
These are my ladybugs. Just playing with my new camera. and having fun learning what it can do.

Do we need a road map?
This is the start of our little road trip to Wainwright, Alberta. (http://www.town.wainwright.ab.ca/index.html ) We decided to go away for the day like we used to a long time ago. Okay not so long ago but somedays it seems that way. Long before we moved to Cold Lake we would take small day trips just to get away for a bit. It had been a long time since we have done this so yesterday we decided to just up and go with Rocco. In the above photo is a weigh scale just west of Bonnyville ( http://www.town.bonnyville.ab.ca/ ) Just because we can we stop by the weigh scale to see how much the car weighs and in this case it is about 1250kgs
We went to Wainwright to visit Darla Lachance. I met her at the store reno in St. Albert this past 3 months. It was somewhere we have NEVER been before or even knew where it was or even really how to get there. Hence the title of the blog. I guess it is to be about 2 hours or so to get there but as usual it has taken us way longer.
We stopped to take pictures with our new camera ( sony cybershot-dscw80) It is a great new little camera that we have been having fun playing with these days. We stopped at Elkpoint ( http://www.shop-alberta.com/elk-point.htm) They have a huge wooden statue that we took pics at but at this moment I am having issues with the site to get them posted here.
The scenery from Cold Lake to Wainwright was beautiful. Once I get the photo up on the blog site you'll see what I mean. Stopped in Vermilion (http://www.town.vermilion.ab.ca/) as we headed south. Once in Wainwright we toured the town and in all truth be told we quite surprized. They have a cool town clock in the middle of the street and at the end of the main street is a train station. We went out to the base there to see it. For a little Army base it was nice. The new PMQs are awesome too bad they are not building them here too.
All in all the trip was fun. Looking forward to going on more day trips to other places in Alberta.

New News:
Well things have changed here in the last little while. I am now back in Cold Lake for good. Which is good news for my boys. I am though on the night shift at Walmart. When I got back I thought that I was heading to Lloyd to help them. There was as change of plans higher up the food chain to what was to happen.
I have been given a promotion at work to "Support Manager".This job is like assistant manager but with out the big responsiblities and bs. This means that I have to do some night shift for the next few months but if that is what I have to do to move up in the world then so be it. It also means that I won't be heading back to St.Albert but hey I am going places.

The Pink Ladies of St Albert Walmart:
Well things happen that are strange and funny at this store reno. All the while the hard work is being done we still have time to kick back and have fun too. Welcome to the pink ladies club of the St Albert Walmart.
Below is the start of the Pink Ladies. Right to left is the following: Diva Dar, Kickin Kim, Cool Chris and Me. This all started with a late night before shift shoping trip to walmart. The three of us girls ended up with the same shirts. Chris our assistant manager of the Reno team wanted to know where his shirt was too. Not thinking that he`d actually wear it we bought him one too. He did wear it all night long.

I am going to miss everyone there

One more Week :
Well one more week done here. Last weekend I stayed here for the weekend. The girls ( from work) and myself went to bingo. Michelle and I were the only ones there to start. We decided to share our possible winnings. I won for the 2nd time ever playing here in Alberta. I won on an earlybird game of $282. Not bad for a win. We split Michelle then on $50 and yet another $244. It was a good night for all of us. I guess at the end of the night we went to the VLTs since that is what they do if they win at bingo. So off we went. I put $20 in the machine of the money that I won. In the end I took out another $260 So I went home with $510.
I save the money for when Robbie can down for a doc's appointment on Thursday. I spent a few pennies on him for treats that he has wanted for sometime now. I got him memory for the home computer, a book on how to write songs for dummies, chocolate, wendy's meals and much more.
I went home for the weekend due to the fact that I had no room here in Edmonton for the weekend. It was good to be there. I think that I was due for a trip hometo relax and get away from here. I am getting tired of living in a hotel and being so far from home. While I was home I went in to the store.
The store here in Edmonton is so pleased with our work that they are trying to get us to stay till the end of the project. So they have been calling all our stores to find out if we all can stay. While at home Brad talked to me and let me know that on the 25 th of May that we will be done here in Ed. But only to find out that we are heading out to Llyodminister to work there for a few months. then possibly back here for a few months.
