Once again at HOME SWEET HOME:
Well we are at the end of week 4 on the road. These last two weeks went a WHOLE lot better than the first two weeks. Yesterday Robbie drove down to Edmonton with Garry from work to visit for the night. We had supper with Garry and Ui ( sorry unsure how to spell her name but she is Garry Thai fiancee) They took us to a Thai Food place in the south part of Edmonton. YES even I stepped out my box and tried it. The food was great and the company even better. Especially when Garry asked Ui how to say " hi auntie" in Thai she told him and then he proceed to the kitchen and said it to her aunt. She giggled at the table and told us that she told him to say "hi crazy auntie" in Thai. She got in trouble later but she said it was worth it.
Well it looks like Walmart wants to keeps us (the reno team) in St. Albert for a very long time. From the sounds of it, it could be till sometime in the summer if not fall. I am hoping to be back here soon though. Not overly like living in a hotel and eating out everyday. It is great though that every two weeks that I can come home and spend the weekend with my boys. And sleep in my own bed is good too. Kind of miss the kraft dinner or should I say the Robbie's night to cook special.
When we got back to Cold Lake today I went to put my summer tires back on my car only to find out that I need one new tire. The guys at Walmart found a nail in the tire. So come Monday I need to find somewhere to buy a tire. I didn't realize that they are about $200 for my car. OUCH!!!
I am not sure if i told you but I bought an ipod before I came home last time. We cannot get it to work on our home computer. Very very frustrating. Well needless to say this things is about to be pitched out the door/window. After talking things over with Robbie tonight I went on Dell's webpage and bought my 1st laptop. It should be here by the next trip home at Easter. Dad you keep your hands off the cover for it. ( I got a Montreal Canadiens cover/skin for it). Looking forward to getting it when I come home again.
Martha and my parents are going to come up for Easter break again this year. Cannot wait for them to come here too. I miss home and family it will be great to see them again. will hopefully have pictures on here again soon.
Ciao for now all have a great 2 weeks see you then

Weekend home:
Well I finally got a weekend to come home and see my boys. Well needless to say it has been a very long two weeks in Edmonton. I arrived on the 25th of Feb. To find out that the St. Albert store where I am working in is not built (ready for renos) yet. On monday show up for work to be told to go back to the hotel till that evening at 10pm. They didn't need us yet. Since we have been there all we have pretty much been doing is stocking shelves. I can do that in Cold Lake but hey they are paying us well. This store is so disorganized it's not funny. The co-manager has the personality of a wet noodle smacked against a wall ( honest you think so to once you met her) and very bad people skills. Maybe one day in the next year this store might be ready for a supercenter.
Well besides just stocking shelves I have met a lot of great people ( Gloria, April, Colin, Ryan and Jeff) they are from all over the place such as Yorkton, Cutknife to Llyodminster. Last week started the bad luck in Edmonton. On thursday night on the way to work I hit a car who was illegally parked. I got a scratch on the bumper of my car. He tried to say that I made over $2000 in damages to his car and demanded cash up front within 1 hour of hitting him. I called my insurance and now I don't have to deal with him anymore.
On Wed morning after we got off work back at the hotel. I noticed that Gloria's car was missing. with about 2 mins of parking my car we found out that some guys truck was stolen and I told the manager make that 2 vehicles. What a way to end a long night. So the EPS were called we were told they were on their way (that was at 7:30am) by 10:45am we decided to go to them since they had not come yet. We then find out that they don't sttend these kinds of things. So my questions is what do we pay them for if they don't come for even a STOLEN vehicle. Went made the statement and went back to the hotel for some shut eye. GUESS what we found in the back of the hotel. YES her car. Called EPS again and again they said they would be right there that was at 12:30pm by the time they got there it was 2:30pm holy cow what a long day. We found a broken shank(knife) multitool with drill bits and cd's in her car. The one cd was called "Life of a THUG" how ironic is that but funny.
On my wasy home yesterday to see my boys. I was stopping in at the Pertocan station about an hour outside Ed for a pitstop. As I start to pull in a mini van comes from out of nowhere and hits the ditch rolls over on its roof and stops lying on the drivers side. wow you should have at least 20 of people run to help here. There were these 2 young guys pulling in behind me. The one guy with in a few leaps and bounds was up on top of the van pulling the door open and got the lady out. Amazing. It turned out that she will be okay but it was kinda scary. I am glad that I made it home in one peice. More to come in 2 weeks. This next two weeks will be better I promise or so I should hope it will be!
talk to you all soon!!!

I am on the Road:
Hey everyone just a little bit of info for you all. It looks like it is my turn to leave home for awhile. It has been 5 years now that Robbie and I will be seperated again. As you all know that I have left my previous job and have returned to work at Walmart. As it turns out that they(walmart) like the job that I have been doing for them in the last and some that they are going to send me away. I am going to get the chance to go to another store to help them go from a regular Walmart to a SuperWalmart. I will be gone for 2 months to Edmonton to work there. They are paying for the hotel, food, travel and LOTS 'n" LOTS of Overtime hours for me. I am so looking forward to meeting new people and learning new parts of the job to futher myself with the company. It is rather short notice though considering today its mid Friday right now and they want me there for this monday. I did though just get a call saying that I now don't need to be there till the 19th of Feb. PHEWWWWW now I can take my time and get everything I need and not forget anything. I have a ton of stuff to do so I'll post more when I come home on weekends or when I'm done there in April sometime.
Ciao Everyone!!! For those of you still here in Cold Lake if you can PLEASE check up on my boys to see if they are okay. Be careful though if you just pop by the house they might be snuggling on the couch in their underwear so you better CALL 1st. thanks!!! SEE you in APRIL!!

"FUNDO FUNDO FUNDO"
Well we went out and bought a Fondue Fountain. Last nite we tried it out. A few very good friends came over to try it out. Justin glad that you had a great time with it. We'll do it again for you. Never had the fun of a "Fundo fountain" before and it was great to do. I did get photos of it for the blog. I as usual cannot for one get them off the camera and the new scan card reader is not working either. And the pic were great too.
As for the "Pink Ladies" you two were funny as all can be. The liquor pump will be fill again for next time (what do you want in it this time). Robbie it was great to meet you. Kind of wierd having 2 Robbies in the same room though. Especially when they both answer at the same time.

Gracie & Mecell get your dancing shoes on we are going to get the challenge on!!!! DANCE DANCE DANCE and chocolate fountian here we come ( a few drinks might helps all dance though) BY the way NO video cameras yet till we're all good at it

Welcome to 2007:
Well the new year has started and a few things have changed here for us. To end 2006 I did it by quitting my job with the commissionaires. After many weeks of a very unpleasant work environment and the doc telling me to find something else was it for me. After talking things over with Robbie and hooking up with yet another job. I put my notice in for the 24th of Dec. to be my last night. That was a great stress now gone for me but still had time to put in before the end. The morning of the 24th we went home to MJ for Christmas. It was short but always a good time. Spent time with the family and friends that we have not seen in a very long time (Chopper and Kids and the Blash's).
On the 28th of Dec I went BACK TO WALMART. YES you read me right I went back to WALMART. I did though go back on my terms and wants for a job. Surprizing to me that they said yes. So Delpha you got me back enjoy. I am quite enjoying myself these days there with NO STRESSand a life back to myself. Since I have been back there I can now spend time with my friends and do crafts again. I even get to have supper almost every night with my boys now.
We had a games night here last weekend but ended up more as a "FUN"do (aka fondue)Night than anything else. It was a good time. Next time we are going to do a fajita (Mexican) night and will play games right Gracie?????
Anyway I also wanted to show you all the great Christmas gift I got from my mom. It took me a bit to hang it up. Just so you know mom. It inspired me to get out my sewing maching again a give it another chance at what I might be able to create. So you might get a quilter out me yet. Ahhhh don't hold your breath too long on that one though. I did though last night make 2 wheat bags for us too use and now Robbie won't give the one up ( the one for the heat) So it looks like i'll have to go make another one.
Since I have bored you all to death I'll let you look at mom's quilted hanging and enjoy

Happy 8th Anniversary:
Well today is our 8th wedding anniversary. It has been a good day so far. We have been just lazy all day so far. It doesn't help that Robbie has hurt his back last week either. To let you all know what has taken place today we have to go back in time a bit.
Well ever since we have been together, Robbie has always talked the talk of getting a Tattoo and not know what he'd like done. I never believed that he ever would get one done. Considering he for one doesn't like blood, pain and needles for that fact. On Friday during the day he heard a song on the radio playing. It was by the music group "Heart- Dog and butterfly" Not thinking too much about it at the time. But come Sunday morning after watching Rocco and myself sleeping. That is when he decided that is what he wanted done for a Tattoo. Since I love butterflies and he loves that little dog. This is what he suggested. I helped a bit due to the fact that he wanted it in cartoon form. There was no way that I was going to look like a "Bart Simpson Butterfly with a gas can" with the saying "no one would suspect the butterfly" Well needless to say we found a pretty butterfly and added my eyes into the wings. It was great seeing Vern from the "Electric Crayon" http://www.theelectriccrayon.ca/ worked his magic yet again. Well Robbie finally did it....he got his 1st TATTOO. Thanks Vern for a great job. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ROBBIE!!!

Chinese Christmas Gift Exchange:
Well this was a 1st for us. Robbie and I went to the "Electric Crayon" http://www.theelectriccrayon.ca/ Christmas Party on Saturday night.
Everyone (almost everyone) dressed up in dresses and suits for the night
We all had a bit to eat drink and laugh. Gracie, Vern, Vern, Charla, and
Jason all looked great as you can see but Jason wouldn't pose for the camera
Gracie
Vern
Charla
The best part of the night was the gift exchange. It was fun to see what people got and what was stolen many many times through out the night. It was a toss up for who would get the MP3 Player, i-pod docking station, margarita mix or the ring. Having lost the MP3 Player too many times and other other 3 items just as many times. I ended the night with the wine glasses, candle holder and snow globe. Robbie brought home a DUCK, sling shot and camera. He is very pleased with his DUCK (Our dog is scared of it though). Thanks guys for a great night. Hope that you all come over for Baja Boxing Day

Decorating for the Holidays:
Well I'd show you some pictures but my digital camera won't download them to my computer. Last Tuesday feeling rather festive I set out to decorate for the holidays. I bought that fake snow for the windows. Made them all look great with lights and all. I then down stairs to get all fun stuff. After what seemed a million and one trips , I finally got started. The christmas tree was the last box up. I set it all out on the couch ,went to find the feet to set it up. NO feet to be found anywhere. So being very sad I set out for Walmart for a new tree. Found a nice "little" tree and came home. Boy oh Boy was it ever a "little" tree even on a stool it looked small I even tower over it. Which doesn't enstill any kind of confidance considering I too am vertically challanged. After being very frustrated I returned to Walmart with the tree in tow and got a tree stand. Finally after 3 very long hours the tree was UP!!! (It was like the 3 stooges in the house decorating and to think it was only me there decorating)
On thursday I had a few friends over to help decorate the tree. Still no pics I cannot get the flash card to even work on another computer. And now the camera won't accept the flash card in it anymore either. HEY SANTA I'd like a new camera for Christmas!!!! Well the tree looks great (thanks Gracie) On Sat night we had a pre-cocktail party at the house for Robbie's work Christmas party. It was fun and a lots of people showed up too. In the end we all ended up back at the house and sat around till 5am sunday morning chatting and having a few cocktails. It was great time. Put me more in the mood for Christmas this year.
Sorry Mom, Dad, and family that we cannot come home this year but our thoughts will be with you! To all our friends and family from Robbie, Rocco and myself , I hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas and a great New Year!!! For those of you sticking around Cold Lake you all invited to "Baja Boxing Day" at our place. It's a potluck of leftovers so please feel free to stop by anytime after 4pm Boxing Day (it's also a byob)
